In this popular series, animal photographer Iwago Mitsuaki travels around the world to photograph cats, and this time he travels to Noto in the Hokuriku region. Cats endure the strong winds of the Sea of Japan, and sometimes even snowstorms. In the morning at the fishing port, cats gather in search of fish. Cats are also part of daily life in Noto. Cats take their morning walks at the Wajima morning market, and you can also encounter cats at Wajima lacquerware workshops and old houses in the mountains. And then there's the Tateyama mountain range across the Sea of Japan, and cats - footage Iwago was determined to capture. He captures cats waiting for the fleeting blue sky and the arrival of spring.
